2023 Pluto Hacks – October 13 – 14, 2023

PlutoHacks, Broward College’s Hackathon will be taking place in the fall semester and there are ways that you can participate now to support students with this event.

At Broward College, we believe in providing invigorating, team-based learning activities and events that allow our computer science & IT students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, talent, and skills to our workforce partners. This year marks the 8th Annual BC Hackathon – Pluto Hacks, a 24-hour coding event where students join a team that will design and develop a prototype mobile/web app to present to a panel of judges. This event provides a unique collaborative environment that promotes project and team-based learning and gives you access to the most talented students.

This year’s event is planned for October 13-14, 2023. The Broward College Computer Science and IT Pathway would like to invite you or your organization to participate in this year’s event. Broward College alumni and local industry professionals have participated by serving as mentors, judges, and through sponsorship of the Hackathon.

Possible sponsorship opportunities include:

  • Recognition during opening ceremony
  • Bring employees to recruit and mentor
  • Host a workshop or information session
  • Host your own corporate hackathon challenge
  • Booth at in-person career fair
  • Judge at Project Expo and award prizes

More than 620 students from 200 high schools have attended the Hackathon within the past 7 years. These students are studying to become developers, data analysts, designers, network administrators, cybersecurity analysts, project managers, and more. Learn more about the event.
