Help Feed a Seahawk through Seahawk Marketplace

June 21-22, 2023

Hunger is a reality faced by many students at Broward College. Whether our students skip a meal because they are low on funds or they don’t consume enough quality food, without access to nutritious meals, it can be difficult to focus on learning – especially when you don’t know where your next meal will come from.

By Making a Gift to Seahawk Marketplace

Seahawk Marketplace is an on-campus pantry which opened its first location on the Broward College Central Campus in Davie in 2021 as an effort to address food insecurity among students, and recently opened a second location at the Judson A. Samuels South Campus.

Seahawk Marketplace South Campus Opening

The mission of the Seahawk Marketplace is to reduce hunger and hardship in the Broward College community by creating access to food and personal hygiene care items, providing guidance, leveraging community programs, and offering educational programs on the value of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.

You have an opportunity to make an impact not only on the lives of students, but those in your community. This academic year alone, the Broward College A. Hugh Adams Central Campus Seahawk Marketplace has served more than 1,000 students and has assisted more than 15,000 people between students and their families.

Seahawk Marketplace is growing to meet the needs of students so that they get the critical resources needed to thrive. Will you consider investing in students overcoming barriers to pursue their academic dreams of post-secondary education?
