Florida Power & Light’s Office of Economic Development enhances and supports economic development efforts throughout Florida with incentive rates for growing businesses, capacity building community programs and resources to local and regional economic development organizations.

In November 2020, they provided Broward College the financial support ($264,880) needed to purchase 400 laptops for residents of Broward County who take advantage of the Rapid Credentialing programs launched earlier this year.

These workforce development programs are designed so that individuals can train in a minimum amount of time, from one semester to one year or less, and quickly join the workforce in a high-wage career with a Technical Certificate and/or an industry certification credential program.
