On Monday, September 29, the Florida College System Foundation (FCSF) presented a $93,511 check to the Broward College Foundation.

The funders for this investment include Florida Blue, Helios Education Foundation, and Bank of America. The Florida Blue gift requires a 100% match by a private donor, so we thank Roy and Kathryn Krause and the Krause Family Foundation for matching the Florida Blue portion of the gift, as they have done in the past year.

The scholarships will help address shortages of nurses and other healthcare professionals while supporting first-generation college students in completing their education. By expanding access to high-quality, affordable academic and career programs, these opportunities ultimately build a skilled workforce to meet Florida’s industry needs. We deeply value the Florida College System Foundation’s commitment to ensuring Floridians can pursue degrees that lead to meaningful careers.
