Christopher Bator

President

Christopher Bator completed his certification in Emergency Medical Technology at BC and furthered his education at Columbia Southern University, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Fire Administration. He is currently president of Florida Firefighter Safety and Health Collaborative, which is a non-profit organization that works towards reducing risks & exposure to our Firefighters. He is also battalion chief at the Coral Springs fire department.

Bruce Britton, BS, CFPS

Bruce Britton got his start at BC and earned his A.S. He then continued his education and earned his bachelor’s in Fire Administration at Columbia Southern University and his master’s in Organizational Leadership – Executive Fire Rescue at Waldorf University. Bruce is currently the Assistant Fire Marshal/Battalion Chief at The City of Miramar. Here, he manages the daily operation of the Fire Life Safety Bureau, including the Firefighter - Fire Inspector program, assists the Fire Marshal with development and implementation of the community risk reduction plan for the city and much more.

Robert Clark

Robert Clark earned an A.A. at Broward College, a B.A. in Sociology at Florida Atlantic University, and an Executive Master of Public Administration at Florida International University. He is the Director of Public Services at the Town of Pembroke Park. As the Director of Public Services, he directs the parks & recreation, storm water & sewer, roads & streets, facilities & building maintenance departments. Robert has plenty of previous experience as a Maintenance Manager.

Brett Dunckel, CFPS

Brett Dunckel earned his EMT and Paramedic certifications at BC. Additionally, he completed his A.S. degree in EMS at BC, and his bachelor’s degree in Fire and Emergency Services from the University of Florida. He is the Fire Prevention Officer at the Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue where he manages fire prevention for Port Everglades. Brett is also the 2020 Florida Fire Inspector of the Year.

Thanks to Broward College Emergency Medical Services program, Wesley is known for his long-standing achievements in the Department’s Technical Rescue. His 25 years of experience as a veteran in the maritime industry sets him apart from others, as he continues to use his resources to better Emergensea Medic LLC and provide for his community.

Latasha Elmaadawy earned an AA at BC and is working towards earning her BBA at Florida International University. She is the North PSAP Communications Manager at the Broward Sheriff’s Office. More than 22 years ago, she started at Broward Sheriff’s Office as a Communications Operator. She went through many roles, some of which include: Communications Duty Officer, Central PSAP Assistant Communications Manager, Central PSAP Communications Manager, and Regional Communications Training Manager.

Gonzalo graduated with an A.S. degree in Fire Science from BC. This sparked his interest to continue on to earn his B.A. in Emergency & Disaster Management and his Master's in Public Administration at American Public University. He has been a BSO Fire Rescue Fire Captain at Broward Sheriff's Office for over 30 years, as well as served in the US Army and US Army Reserves.

While studying at Broward College Lamar was able to freely develop a passion to accomplishes everything that comes his way. He refers to Takeda Shingen, “Knowledge is not power, it is only potential. Applying that knowledge is power. Understanding why and when to apply that knowledge is wisdom.” He thanks Broward College for allowing him to explore yet master his degree. As well as become an Intelligence Analyst for the Florida Army National Guard.
