Melissa earned her A.A with Honors from Broward College and continued to receive her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She has gained experience working an academic tutor, research intern, sales supervisor and teaching assistant throughout her years receiving her education. She appreciates her time spent at Broward College, and grateful for the lessons learned with the help of her professors.

Abdon Orrostieta began his academic career at Broward College where he earned his associates in Health Science. He thanks Broward College for exemplifying extensive skills in the health services industry and demonstrating effective communication. Dr. Skylizard began his education at Broward College and now specializes in team and program development, multi-disciplinary thoracic oncology care, and advanced minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He regularly performs robot-assisted surgery to treat lung cancer patients.

Subash earned his associate’s degree at Broward College and is currently studying hard for his PH. D in neurosciences. He thanks Broward College for providing him the fundamental knowledge to succeed in his program. As well as the ability to give back to the community through tutoring in subjects like college physics, calculus, ACT and SAT prep., much and more.

Sereatha is a registered nurse at Jackson Health System, and prior to that was an intensive care trauma nurse for eleven years at Memorial Healthcare System. Broward College Nursing program made her well prepared to save countless lives for many years. She is also the executive director of Harmony and Hope, a performing art after school program, where she is determined to provide equal access to the performing arts regardless of income.

While worked as a Property Management for 13 years, Rosie earned an Associate Degree in Nursing at Broward College. She is grateful to Broward College for providing the flexibility she was looking for to complete her nursing degree. She also volunteers at Crisis Text line as a crisis counselor, helping individuals cope within the United States.

Kristina is a former U.S. Coast Guard Airman, she earned her Associate of Science in Nursing and will soon graduate with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing by the end of 2020. With great pride, she recently shared the following with Dr. Sara Turpel, our Dean of Nursing: "We opened a COVID unit recently, and knowing we have at risk nurses on our unit, I volunteered to be placed permanently in the COVID unit, to help aid in them floating to a safer floor.” She credits Broward College for giving her the courage and confidence to caring for patients at the highest standard.
