Tremaine earned both her A.A. and A.S degree from BC, her B.S. degree from NSU and her JD, Law from FIU. Tremaine, the first in her family to attend college, says "ANYTHING is possible if you have faith and believe in yourself. Getting my start at BC prepared me for law school in so many ways and gave me the confidence to succeed.

Robert Hill, Jr, MPH

Robert earned his A.S. at BC and was a recipient of a Dean’s Award. He then continued his education and earned his bachelor's in Psychology at UF and his master’s in Public Health at NSU. He now works for the American Heart Association as a Community Impact Director and is currently VP of Health Strategies. “As the VP of Health Strategies, it is my responsibility to partner with our Board of Directors, volunteers, and corporate partners.”

Nadia Jimenez, LCSW, Ph.D. earned her A.A. from BC, a B.S.W from FAU, a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University, a Master's in Educational Leadership from Walden University, and a Ph.D. in Counseling from Newburgh University. She is widely known in our community for her renown work with those involved in the MSD tragedy in Parkland. She owns her own practice, Counsel NJ, LLC and is the Clinical Director as well as a Psychotherapist.

Felisha Johnson

Felisha is currently earning her Master’s of Science in Psychology at BC and is due to graduate in 2022. She currently runs her own business as a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach, called Heal Your Story, LLC. Felisha’s passion stems in supporting both men and women in taking their lives to the next level and leading them to heal from their past. Through the platform of Heal My Story, she works with clients from many different backgrounds to help them overcome the effects of trauma. Her mission statement is embedded in the idea that you have the power to write the rest of your story and create the life you deserve.

Kenneth King

Starting with his A.A. degree in Psychology from BC, and following with his B.A. and MBA, as VP of Housing, Kenneth oversees Camillus' housing program, which provides housing to more than 800 individuals and families in 12 facilities throughout Miami-Dade County.

Kevin Knutson

Kevin Knutson earned an AA at BC, a BA in English, and an MFA in Creative Writing at Florida International University. He is the Assistant County Administrator at Pinellas County Government. Here he is responsible for Administrative Services, Communications, Office of Management and Budget, Economic Development, and more. Kevin has previously worked for the City of Coral Springs, City of Reno, and has been a consultant to over 200 cities and counties across North America. He's an ICMA credentialed manager that was named Communicator of the Year in 2011 and #25 on the 2020 Traeger Award list of the top influencers in local government.

Lyneida earned her A.A. degree from BC, her Bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University, and her Master’s degree from Florida International University. She has a very critical role at Henderson Behavioral Health as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Coordinator. She is the Supervisor, helping people cope with stress, anxiety, depression, loss of loved ones and so much more. Lyneida says, “It all starts with one person; if I can inspire and be there to help those in need, I will go as far as I can to do right for those that put their trust in me."

Cara Malave earned both her A.A. and her Bachelors of Applied Science from BC. She was previously a long-standing employee for Broward College, but is now the Chief Program Officer at the FLITE Center. She has helped support and further the FLITE Center's mission of guiding those aging out of foster care and other vulnerable youth for successful transition to independence through housing, education, employment, and system of care coordination.

Tara Marino earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York College at Cortland. She then came to Broward College where she earned a degree in education. She also earned a master’s in educational leadership from Barry University. Tara recently became the new principal at St. Jerome School in Fort Lauderdale.

Malena Mendez-Dorn graduated from BC with her A.A. in Social Work. She is currently President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward is a nonprofit organization that focuses on creating one-to-one relationships for children in need of a big brother or big sister to mentor them. These big brothers and big sisters will inspire and encourage them to live a success life and help them find their full potential!
